Cardinal Daniel DiNardo has decreed that a Holy Door be opened at the following Churches, which will also serve as pilgrimage sites during the Holy Year:

Pilgrims passing through this"Holy Door" In any of the designated Churches mentioned above, will receive the Jubilee Indulgence.This Jubilee Indulgence may be obtained once a day for oneself, or for someone who has passed away. The Holy Father has indicated that, to receive this Jubilee Indulgence, passage through the Holy Door must be accompanied by:
- the Profession of Faith,
- prayer for the Holy Father and his intentions,
- and attendance at a celebration of the Holy Eucharist and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
In the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo celebrated an Opening Mass for the “Jubilee of Hope” on Sunday, December 29 at 11am, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Houston. Earlier in the day, Auxiliary Bishop Italo Dell'Oro, CRS, celebrated another Opening Mass of the “Jubilee of Hope” at 12:30 p.m. at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Mary in Galveston.
